Senior Business Controls/Risk Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify risk and implement operational and business unit controls.

  • Take a lead role on internal and external audits and examinations.

  • Ensure appropriate WSPs and SOPs are in place, tested, and oversight exists.

  • Design, maintain and test the department's business continuity planning (BCP) as it related to business risk controls.

  • Perform due diligence on third party vendors, assessing our compliance with distribution rights, contract terms, SLAs, licensing, and data restrictions, among other items.

  • Deliver the right results by effectively balancing the work needed for both risk/controls and vendor due diligence.

 
 

 

Compliance, Data Analytics Analyst III

Job Overview:

Compliance Analytics partners with business areas to provide analytical and financial insights for firm decision making and strategic planning. Data & Analytics utilize advanced data manipulation techniques and tools in their expertise of sourcing and transforming of data that provide actionable insights.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Create and develop dashboards, reports, visualizations in support of firm initiatives and programs.

  • Document business requirements and create data requirements.

  • Identify and recommend enhancements to divisional reporting and key measures. Build datasets necessary for the reports. Transform, re-engineer, and extract data in relational databases using appropriate tools including SQL, PL/SQL, Access and Excel.

  • Analysis that facilitates the transformation of raw and/or summarized data into information and insights. Includes intermediate data modeling, forecasting, statistical analysis and financial modeling.

  • Document, monitor, and proactively recommend improvement to processes and controls related to area responsibilities; quantify business and financial impact for leaders.

  • Develop and manage business relationships and partnerships with targeted business owners and finance associates.

  • Inform and educate other business areas as to the impact of decision; deliver original insights on opportunities for enhancing Firm performance.

  • Assist with the implementation of projects requiring cross-functional teams to achieve the division and firm's overall business objectives. Independently organize, plan & prioritize individual effort needed to ensure overall success.

  • Build requirements for, develop and enhance automated processes that provide functional areas with data and information.
